Reading Program
The Reading Program of United Methodist Women is a wonderful way for women to become connected with other women, children and youth as they read about social issues in the Social Action category, learn about our distant neighbors and missionaries in Education for Mission, understand and interact with our neighbors in Nurturing for Community, and nurture ourselves and others in Spiritual Growth.
- You may count books for the current year plus the last five years, or six years of books for the Reading Program.
- Obtain books at the Mission Resource Center, Conference and District events, or your local public library.
- Read Response Magazine for Plans I, II, III and IV and New World Outlook for Plans II, III, and IV.
- Submit your Reading Program level to your local unit Secretary of Program Resources, who will in turn provide a list of all readers from her unit to the District SPR on December 1 of each year.
